Your CUSHPAK™ cushions were designed to provide unparalleled ergonomic support, but after years of service—countless campfires, dusty trails, and sun-drenched afternoons—even the most rugged materials can show their age.
This is by design. We created the Furnigami ecosystem with the belief that you should never have to discard an entire piece of furniture because a single component has reached the end of its lifecycle. The ability to easily swap in a new set of CUSHPAK™ cushions is central to that vision.
Whether you’re replacing a worn-out set or simply upgrading to a new color, this guide makes the process seamless.
Step 1: Remove the Old Cushions
Each CUSHPAK™ cushion is secured to the furniture frame with a series of heavy-duty velcro straps and, on some models, a zippered enclosure.
1. Remove The Bottom Screws:
Systematically work your way around the cushion, undoing each screw from the base plate.
2. Remove The Back Plate:
Remove the 5 hex screws from the chair back and remove the back plate.
3. Remove the Backrest Screws
Remove the cushion screws from the chair back.
Once all screws are released, the cushion will lift cleanly away from the frame. Repeat for all cushions.
Step 2: Prepare the Frame
With the cushions removed, take a moment to wipe down the furniture frame with a damp cloth.
Step 3: Install the New Cushions
4. Position the Cushion:
Place your new CUSHPAK™ cushion onto the frame, ensuring it is oriented correctly. The tapered lumbar support should align with the backrest, and the seat cushion should fit snugly within the base.
5. Secure the Screws:
Starting from the bottom, attach the screws to their corresponding points on the frame. Then proceed to the chair back and attach the screws/
6. Replace the back plate
Firmly seat the chair back plate by pressing it firmly onto the frame to ensure all hex screws are replaced. The cushion should feel integrated with the frame, with no shifting or looseness.
