Upgrade Your Foundation: How to Swap Your ROCKSTEADY™ Legs

At Furnigami, we build gear to last. But we also build it to adapt. The world’s most innovative camping furniture isn’t a static object—it’s an ecosystem designed to evolve with you. Your ROCKSTEADY™ legs are engineered for thousands of cycles in the harshest conditions, but in the wild, anything can happen. A rogue boulder, an unfortunate drop, or simply years of relentless use can take their toll.

Unlike other furniture that would be rendered useless, your Furnigami gear was designed for this. The ability to swap out a leg isn’t just a feature; it’s a philosophy. It’s our commitment to sustainability, modularity, and the belief that you should be able to repair, not replace, the gear you trust.

This guide will walk you through the simple process of replacing a ROCKSTEADY™ leg, getting you back to 100% stability in minutes.

Step 1: Assess the Situation

Before you begin, identify which leg needs replacement. While our legs are built to be interchangeable, it’s good practice to work on one at a time to maintain stability during the process.

Step 2: Remove the Old Leg & Insert the New One

1. Slide Out:

Grip the ratchet leg and simply pull out the ROCKSTEADY™ leg insert.

2. Align the New Leg:

Take your new ROCKSTEADY™ leg and align the leg with the corresponding direction. Note, the ratchet clip should be facing out.

3. Insert:

Slide the new leg into the housing until its firmly into place.  Give it a gentle twist and pull to confirm it's secure.

Step 4: Test for Stability

Turn your furniture upright and test the new leg. Extend and retract the ratchet adjustments to ensure full functionality. Once you’ve confirmed it’s secure and operating correctly, you’re ready to get back out there.

By choosing to repair and upgrade, you’re not just fixing a piece of gear—you’re embracing a more sustainable, intelligent way of interacting with the outdoors. You’re demonstrating a commitment to quality and longevity that defines the modern adventurer. Welcome to the Furnigami ecosystem.
